One of the great sport events will commence tomorrow. That’s right. Eyes will be watching and people searching the internet for details. It is the beginning of Notre Dame Football fall practice!

I’d write about the Olympics, but I fear the Chinese government may hunt me down, besides there is enough of that.

I must start out with a disclaimer. I went into this practice with low expectations on what I would see. How could I not? Same ol' Charlie babble about expectations, forgetting last year, some players have made strides

Now I could go into a long rant of my own talking about the nuances of what I saw, but I will leave that to Juice Box. Instead I am going to bullet point this...

Practices have started and media day has come and gone. But among the ruckus a depth chart came out, and Charlie Weis talked about it.

He looked like a proud papa.

One time I was invited to an awards banquet. My dad was so proud. He actually looked exactly like Charlie Weis, when he spoke of having not linemen on the 2 deeps that are under 300 pounds. Fanny Appriciation Day

I was at a rodeo the other day. Yeah, It was the Elkhart County Fair (Its Iowa sized) and thought my son would enjoy it. Grandstand admission was free with gate admission to the fair.

A wireless company gave away free cushions. It was nice of them. Fanny appriciation day.

At the rodeo, it was some salt of the Earth folks. They cheered loudly at, well everything. It was the closest thing to a Super Bowl that I have attended. They cheered the guy who painted the fence...
